We will forward your application to your desire school and wait the school response. The University will send us a mail notifying us your application is under review or being process. We will then send you an email to let you know that your application has been submitted and is being processed.

Please check your emails regularly for important updates.

Once you have received your confirmation email from us, we will then wait for the school to consider your application for them to reach a decision.

Note: Application decision  period varies and it depends on the country and school you wish to apply to.

Most universities take note of the following before making a consideration on your application

• They check whether you are studying towards (or have studied) the correct qualifications for entry on your desired course.

• They see whether any predicted grades meet their requirements for the course.

• They read your personal statement.

• If necessary, they will invite you to an interview (for certain courses only).

• For most standard courses in the UK and Europe (excluding health courses and some arts courses that require a portfolio or audition), you will receive a decision about your application within 14 days of application submission. Some institution may take longer time depending on the volume of application.

• You'll also be notified by SAASE team member if you have been unsuccessful in your application.

You’ll have another opportunity to discuss your travel plans and visa process with our team. These events are subject-specific and tailored to give you the chance to explore your study plans in much more detail.

We will also send you regular communications about your admission and the next steps in your admission journey.

Once you have received decisions from the institutions you applied to, and you feel ready to make your decision, you will need to decide whether to accept the offer or not.

In a case where you have several offers, and you’re still not 100% sure about where you want to study, it can suddenly feel like a big decision to have to choose from different choice

It can be useful to compare institutions’ advantages and disadvantages against the things you are particularly looking for – things may have changed since you submitted your application.

Here are some things to consider that might help you decide the Country, University and Course that is right for you.

Your support network – your university family is wider than you think ! Whether it’s mental health support, advice on careers and placement or financial aid, many universities  got your back.

Explore the accommodation – Many Universities will guarantee you a place in hostels, halls – either University-managed or from accredited private providers – to all undergraduate first-year students who make their University their choice and apply before the date stated for securing an accommodation

Find your new home – you'll be living in the city for at least three years, so make sure the country and city has all the amenities you want and you’ll be comfortable here.

If you've been deny an  offer or not accepted into your desire choice of school , you may be able to apply for another course.

Most  curriculum abroad is designed with input from high  industry experts and partners, which means you’ll develop skills that are highly valued by employers and gain plenty of hands-on practical experience along the way. Many of the courses have professional, statutory or regulatory body accreditation or approval too, giving you the best possible start to your career.

Please be aware that all students applying for a study abroad will require a visa and a proof of funds  the equivalent of between $6,000USD - $10,000USD  per semester or year depending on the county to cover your living expenses prior to your departure.  This can consist of a certified bank statement from your account or your parents, or a stamped & signed memo from your bank confirming the amount currently in your or your parents’ account showing the necessary amount. You can usually use your statement from Student Finance as proof of finance too.

Additional Costs

Other costs that will need to be considered are:

• Travel to and from the country, and any other travelling you may wish to do whilst there

• Passport or Passport renewal

• Student Visa or Authorization - varies depending on the country but will cost approx. £200-£250 or $100-$400

• International Student Identity Card – approx. £12 or $50-$150  depending on the school 

• Medical Insurance - the university you chose may recommend a specific health plan, but expect to pay roughly £250 - £600 or $300-$500 depending on the length of time you are abroad and the country you are studying in

• Personal/Property Insurance

• Academic Materials (books etc.) – approx. £100 or $150-$300

The Study Abroad programme is self-funded - however there are a few different streams of funding that you can apply for;

• Student Loan – students will receive the student loan as normal. Usually the maintenance loan can increase by up to 50% during the time spent studying overseas. This is calculated on household income.

• Students Grants: Grants are been offered to international students on the merit of academic performance or shows they meet the eligibility for a study grants.

Fully-funded Government Scholarships 

Fulbright Foreign Student Program (USA)

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program are prestigious scholarships for international students who wants to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree in the United States. Generally, the grant funds tuition, airfare, a living stipend, and health insurance, etc. The Fulbright program provides funding for the duration of the study.

British Chevening Scholarships (UK)

Chevening Scholarships, the UK government’s global scholarship programme, are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential. Awards are typically for a one-year Master’s degree. Most Chevening Scholarships cover: tuition fees; a living allowance at a set rate (for one individual); an economy class return airfare to the UK; additional grants to cover essential expenditure.

Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships (Switzerland)

The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships provide graduates from all fields with the opportunity to pursue doctoral or postdoctoral research  at one of the public funded university or recognized institution in Switzerland.  The scholarship covers a monthly allowance, tuition fees, health insurance, lodging allowance, etc.

Swedish Scholarships for International Students (Sweden)

The Swedish Institute provides scholarships in Sweden to highly-qualified international students from developing countries who wants to pursue full-time Masters studies at Swedish Universities.  The scholarship covers tuition fee, living expenses, some travel grant, and insurance.

VLIR-UOS Training and Masters Scholarships (Belgium)

VLIR-UOS awards scholarships to students from selected developing countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America so that they can pursue a Training and Master’s Programme related to development at Universities in Belgium. The scholarships cover tuition fee, accommodation, allowance, travel costs,  and other program related costs.

Gates Cambridge Scholarships (UK)

Gates Cambridge Scholarships are full-cost awards for graduate study and research in any subject available at the University of Cambridge.  The scholarships are open to all international students from all over the world.  A Gates Cambridge Scholarship covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge namely: university fees, maintenance allowances, airfare, and some dependent’s allowance.

Clarendon Scholarships at University of Oxford (UK)

The Clarendon Scholarship Fund is a prestigious graduate scholarship scheme offering around 140 new scholarships every year to eligible graduate applicants (including international students) at the University of Oxford. Clarendon Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and potential across all degree-bearing subjects at graduate level at the University of Oxford.  The scholarships cover tuition and college fees in full and a generous grant for living expenses.

Warwick Chancellor’s International Scholarships (UK)

The Warwick Graduate School awards around 25 Chancellor’s International Scholarships to the most outstanding international PhD applicants each year. The scholarships are open to students of any nationality and to any discipline offered at Warwick. The scholarships include the full payment of overseas tuition fees and maintenance allowance.

Westminster Full International Scholarships (UK)

University of Westminster awards scholarships to eligible students from any developing country who wish to study in the UK and pursue a full-time Undergraduate degree in any field of study at the University of Westminster.  The scholarship awards full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

University of Sydney International Scholarships (Australia)

The University of Sydney invites candidates who are eligible to undertake a Postgraduate Research Degree or Master’s by Research program at this University to apply for the University of Sydney International Research Scholarship (USydIS).   The USydIS will cover tuition fees and living allowance for up to three years.

University of Maastricht High Potential Scholarships (Netherlands)

The University of Maastricht High Potential Scholarships are made available by the UM Scholarship Fund with the aim of encouraging talented students from outside the EEA to follow a master’s programme at UM.  The scholarships include tuition fee, living expenses, visa costs, and insurance.

TU Delft Excellence Scholarships (Netherlands)

The Delft University of Technology offers a number of excellence scholarship programs for international students. The Justus & Louise van Effen scholarship is one of those programs and it aims to financially supporting excellent international MSc students wishing to study at TU Delft. The scholarship is a full scholarship – coverage of tuition fees and monthly allowance for living expenses.

Erik Bleumink Scholarships at University of Groningen (Netherlands)

The Erik Bleumink Fund Scholarships are usually awarded for any 1 year or 2 years Master’s degree programme offered at the University of Groningen.  The grant covers the tuition fees plus the costs of international travel, subsistence, books, and health insurance.

Amsterdam Excellence Scholarships (Netherlands)

The Amsterdam Excellence Scholarships (AES) awards scholarships to exceptionally talented students from outside the EU to pursue eligible Master’s Programmes offered at the University of Amsterdam. The AES is a full scholarship of €25,000 covering tuition and living expenses.

ETH Zurich Excellence Masters Scholarship Program (Switzerland)

ETH Zurich supports excellent international students wishing to pursue a Master’s degree at ETH. The Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) consists of a grant covering living and study expenses (CHF 11,000 per semester) as well as a tuition fee waiver.

International Leader of Tomorrow Award at University of British Columbia (Canada)

University of British Columbia (UBC) provides bachelors scholarships for talented secondary and post-secondary international students from around the world. International Leader of Tomorrow Award-winners receive an award-level commensurate with their financial need as determined by the costs of their tuition, fees and living costs, minus the financial contribution the student and their family can make annually towards these costs.

The majority of UK,US and Canadian Universities teach in English however there will be the opportunity to learn a second language should you wish to study a language course or in a Country where English is not a primary Language.

For students studying in locations where the local language is French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Danish, Greek, Portuguese or Swedish you will be offer (depending on the country) a six to one year language course to meet the  language requirements.

Private Accommodation

Most universities in different Countries will provide different levels of assistance when it comes to private housing.  Some may provide you with a list of local hostels, others may give general advice on the local housing market, while others may be able to provide more practical help in house hunting.  You may also be able to find information on the accommodation in your offer letter.

If you choose to rent private accommodation we advise that you familiarise yourself with the landlord and tenant legislation and obligations in the country as it can be very different with different countries  law. You may also wish to book yourself into a hostel for a week prior to your start date and use this time to ‘house hunt’ in person.

University Accommodation

Individual university usually list information on the cost of living in that particular country.  Most will include fees for accommodation in halls of residence, meal plans and/or ad hoc board arrangements. Staying in university accommodation will likely be easier to arrange, will be organised and ready for your arrival and you will meet more students during your time abroad.
